Sierra Bio

Hi, I’m Sierra Schulze, a Class of 2028 golfer for TL Hanna High School with a deep love for the game of golf and a goal of playing at the collegiate level. Golf has taught me focus, resilience, and how to perform under pressure—like the time I drained a 30-foot birdie on 18 to help my team secure our first-ever girls’ state title.

I compete year-round in top junior golf events across the Southeast. Some of my proudest moments include tying for first at Hackler Golf Course and continuing to improve with every tournament I play. But my identity as an athlete extends far beyond the golf course.

I'm always on the move. CrossFit and strength training are a big part of my routine, and I love testing my endurance through running. Whether I’m competing or training, being active is what fuels me. In the off-season, you’ll find me skiing with family, out on the lake fishing, or hiking trails with my miniature Australian shepherd, Yellow, who keeps me on my toes and makes every adventure better.

When I’m not outside or training, I enjoy cooking. I find joy in creating healthy meals and trying new recipes. It’s my way of resetting and recharging.

My journey is about more than stats and trophies—it's about consistent growth, dedication, and loving the process. Whether it’s early-morning range work, a cold run, or helping my team succeed, I show up ready to give everything I’ve got.

I’m looking forward to bringing my drive, discipline, and team-first mindset to a college golf program that values athletes who are all-in—on and off the course.

Academics
In the classroom, I’m focused, disciplined, and always striving to do my best. I enjoy the challenge of learning new material and expanding my understanding of how things work—especially when I can connect what I’m learning to real life. Some of my favorite classes have been Geometry, Algebra, Weightlifting, Art, and English, where I’ve had the chance to grow both academically and creatively.

Beyond academics, I’m actively involved in clubs, leadership programs, and service activities that support my school, church, and community. Giving back and staying connected to others is a big part of who I am. Some of my recent experiences include:

-
Serving as a Sunday School teacher at my church
-
Earning a Leadership Certificate through my school’s student development program
-
Volunteering as a Junior PGA coach to help younger golfers build their skills
-
Baking for community fundraisers, including my church women’s group bake sale
These experiences have helped shape me into a well-rounded student-athlete—someone who values hard work, kindness, and making a positive impact wherever I can.
